Saturday, November 5, was The Brightside Project's first Neighborhood Outreach. We took our mobile unit to the Lundy Avenue neighborhood in Salem. We met more than 70 children in the neighborhood. Each child received a bag full of healthy snacks and personal care items.
We were so excited to finally be in the neighborhoods reaching our community's children. We painted faces and played with the kiddos. One grandmother came with her three grandchildren she's raising by herself and she was thankful we've decided to do this.
It was an honor to be able to serve our community in this way. We are looking forward to many more Neighborhood Outreaches in the future. We couldn't have done it without our partners: Salem Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Precision Orthodontist, Salem City Police, Promos Unlimited, Custom Poly Bags, Salem Giant Eagle, Trudy Mackall, Brooke Pidgeon, and Simply the Deals.
We also had some news coverage. Check out the links below.
