We keep seeing stories in the news about children watching their caretakers pass out because they were high. The New York Times just posted another story on Sept. 27, "Addicted Parents Get Their Fix, Even With Children Watching."
It breaks our heart.
The mission of The Brightside Project is to equip and empower children to reach their fullest potential. They need compassionate adults in their lives to listen to them. That is why one of our strategies to fulfill our mission is to provide kiddos in hard places with adult mentors. We will walk alongside them and help pull them out of these, what seem like impossible, situations.
Will you join us?
A few of the current needs of The Brightside Project:
1. Our $100K Launch Campaign—You can give toward this campaign at Go Fund Me or by sending a check if you prefer. Checks made payable to The Brightside Project.
2. Board Members—We have three board members currently but we are actively seeking two more. Ideally we would add a board member in law enforcement and a board member in education. Have a name you'd like to nominate? Email us!
3. Spread the Word—We need the community to know we exist! Will you share our links on social media? Or perhaps have a conversation with a neighbor about us!
